- Do you hire gardeners in London and Kent?
- Yes. We run our crews from a depot in Sidcup, Kent (DA14) and work across Kent and South East London every day, including Bromley, Bexley, Dartford, Beckenham, Chislehurst, Greenwich, Orpington and Sevenoaks. Tell us your postcode when you apply and we will point you to the nearest round.
- What experience do I need to apply?
- For our Garden Maintenance Operative role you need no formal experience. Reliability, a liking for physical outdoor work and pride in finishing a job properly matter more, and we train you through our in-house academy. The Team Leader role does ask for solid garden, grounds maintenance or landscaping experience.
- Where are you based?
- Our depot is in Sidcup (DA14) in Kent. Crews load up there each morning and head out to gardens across London and Kent, so a role here sits within easy reach of both.
- Do I need a driving licence?
- A full UK driving licence is required for the Garden Maintenance Team Leader role, as you drive the crew van. It is not required for the Garden Maintenance Operative role.
- What are the hours and pay?
- Both roles are full-time and permanent, Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 16:30, with optional paid Saturdays and overtime. The Operative role pays £22,000 to £25,000 and the Team Leader role £26,000 to £30,000, depending on experience.
- Is the work year-round or seasonal?
- It is permanent, year-round work, not seasonal hire-and-fire. You also get 28 days holiday including bank holidays and a workplace pension.
- What kit and equipment do you provide?
- We provide everything you need: uniform, PPE and quality tools, plus an electric van and work phone for Team Leaders. We use organic-only treatments, so there is no harsh chemical handling.
