A private estate in the Kent Weald appointed us in 2019 on a rolling contract covering fourteen hectares of formal gardens, parkland, and a walled kitchen garden. The brief was specific: replace a multi-contractor arrangement that had grown operationally fragmented with a single, directly-employed team.
Six Willow Alexander gardeners now attend weekly between March and October and fortnightly through the winter. A dedicated foreman leads a four-person crew on estate maintenance, with a tree surgeon and stonemason attending on planned rotations. We provide monthly KPI reports to the estate office and attend the annual owners' review.
The contract is into its seventh year. Our stonemason has rebuilt three heritage walls during that time; our planting team has refreshed the walled kitchen garden to a drawn scheme; and the annual maintenance hours have stabilised at roughly 82% of our original estimate.
