Cookie policy

Last updated 3 July 2026

This policy explains how this website uses cookies and similar technologies, and how you can control them. A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device to make the site work, remember your preferences, or measure how it is used.

How we ask for consent

When you first visit, a banner lets you accept all cookies, reject everything except the essential ones, or open Preferences to choose by category: functional, analytics and marketing. Essential cookies are set automatically because the site cannot function without them; the other categories only load after you opt in. We use Google Consent Mode, so analytics and advertising tags stay switched off until you consent. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the Cookie preferences link in the footer.

Essential cookies

These keep the site secure and working and do not require consent. They include a cookie named wa-consent that remembers your cookie choices; a security check from Cloudflare Turnstile that protects our forms from spam and abuse; our online booking system (ServiceOS), which the site relies on to take bookings; and a preference cookie that remembers whether you were viewing the Garden Design or Gardeners side of the business, along with temporary form state while you complete an enquiry.

Functional cookies

With your consent, functional cookies remember additional preferences and settings you choose while using the site.

Analytics cookies

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand which pages are visited and how the site performs. These cookies (for example _ga) help us improve the site. Analytics data is aggregated, is not used to identify you personally, and is never sold. We also use Microsoft Clarity to view anonymised session replays and heatmaps that show how visitors use the site (cookies such as _clck and _clsk).

Marketing cookies

With your consent, we use advertising and audience tags — such as Nextdoor — delivered through Google Tag Manager, so our campaigns reach the right people and we can measure their effect. If you do not consent, these tags do not load and no advertising cookies are set.

Managing cookies

Use the Cookie preferences link in the footer to revisit your choices at any time. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings; essential cookies will be recreated on your next visit where they are needed for the site to work. Blocking all cookies may affect how parts of the site function.
