The Studio

One studio, from first sketch to final planting.

We are a garden design and build studio working across Sidcup and the South East. Every commission is drawn, built and planted by our own team: survey and concept, hard landscaping, planting, and the care that follows.

One point of contact, nothing subcontracted, from the first site visit onwards.

Where we work

Designing in Sidcup.

Sidcup is close to home for us, and we design across it often, from the 1930s semis and their generous gardens to the period houses around the old village. Plots here tend to be roomier than inner London, with space for a proper lawn, a considered terrace and borders with real depth.

The soil lightens towards the Kent edge, more forgiving and free-draining than the clay further in, which opens up a wide planting palette. Whether the brief is a crisp contemporary family garden or a softer, naturalistic scheme, there is usually room here to be ambitious.

How we work

From first conversation to a garden kept.

01

The Enquiry

An unhurried visit to walk the plot together, and an honest conversation about whether we are the right studio for your garden.

02

The Design

Concept directions, then a full scheme: layout, materials, levels, lighting and a planting plan drawn species by species. You sign off every detail.

03

The Build

Led by our own foreman and trades we've worked with for a decade. Weekly progress reports, one point of contact, nothing subcontracted out.

04

The Care

A garden reaches its best years after planting. Our own gardeners maintain many of our designs, pruning to intent and editing borders as they mature.

Common questions

Garden design in Sidcup.

Which parts of Sidcup do you cover?

We design and build across Sidcup and DA14, DA15, including Old Bexley, Blackfen, Longlands, Foots Cray and the streets around them.

Do you design the larger suburban gardens common in Sidcup?

Yes. Plots here are roomier than inner London, with space for a proper lawn, a considered terrace and deep borders. The lighter, free-draining soil lets us plant ambitiously.

Do you both design and build the garden?

Yes. Every commission is designed, built and planted by our own employed team, with one point of contact from the first visit onwards. Nothing is subcontracted out.

Do you look after the garden once it is built?

Yes. Our own gardeners maintain many of the gardens we design, frequently the same team who were on site during the build, so the planting is cared for as it was intended. Explore garden maintenance
